Still working on Almost Wonderful. While I go through the editing process as well as the waiting one, I am working on a smaller book. A Christmas story based in Chicago it has been a lot of fun to write. Between the two I have kept very busy. I would like to finish the first draft of this one by the time my son gets released from school for the summer. Whether or not this actually happens, we'll find out in the near future. Either way I am very excited! Towards the end of the summer my family has decided to travel to Minnesota to see my relatives who live there. We haven't seen them in some time now. This said, my son Julian and I are sincerely looking forward to the trip! It was on a similar trip a few years ago that I originally bought his small stuffed bear for him. I ended up in a Walmart on the edges of a tornado to buy the bear. I won't forget this as long as I live. It's become one of those crazy stories that I tell him on occasion for amusement before bed.
I can't wait to see what the editing team has done with my book, I always thought I was much better at being a patient person. In the last little bit I've done a great deal more studying on promotion. I've come to find that no matter how much you learn you can never learn enough. It always amazes me what a broad subject it is. Thank goodness I have a smart son to discuss it with, I don't seem to drive him too exceptionally crazy. All I can say is no matter how much you feel you have learned keep studying. You are your best teacher! It's very similar to target practice, you keep at it long enough and you will eventually hit the mark.
